Prospect Park Morning Nap Laps

An event every week that begins at 07:00 on Wednesday, repeating until December 2, 2021
Hey guys! As we head into the off-season and our bodies start to cool down from all the hot laps and Spicy Nyacks that we’ve been doing all season, it becomes incredibly important to take our newfound anaerobic fitness, and commit it to cultivating a stronger aerobic foundation on which we further our fitness and strength for next year.
However, as I bring the intensity of my rides down (to about 2.4-2.7W/kg, yielding ~16-16.8mph net ride averages), don’t be fooled into thinking things will get easier, as this kind of work presents its own set of challenges — I’m talking about intense boredom, a lack of suffering and therefore direct engagement, and most excitingly, newfound bouts of awkward silence which used to be filled with the running blood, sweat, and tears of your comrades.
So if staring at the ground, breathing moderately slowly, and listening to the sounds of each others voices, or perhaps very apparent lack of each others voices, sounds as appealing to you as it does for me, feel free to come through and do a few (6-ish) laps with me in the AM, starting at 7AM at the Woodbridge past the GAP entrance!
LOGISTICS:
1. Meet 7AM GAP Woodbridge
2. Hold 2.4-2.7 W/kg (About 16-17mph on the flats, 8-10mph up the hill, and some unknown faster speed down the hill)
3. Go home whenever you need or desire
