An event every week that begins at 07:00 on Tuesday and Thursday, repeating until June 25, 2021

DROP RIDE; RAIN CANCELS!

Ever wake up at around 6:00AM in your cozy bed and decide you would rather be at triple your current heart rate, snot running out of your nose, on the brink of death wondering when the pain is going to end? If you said yes to yourself, then golly, there is something wrong with you. At first thought, none of us want to do this, but loving riding, and loving to see ourselves grow and get seriously FAST brings us here every Tuesday and Thursday morning, riding hard for ourselves and everyone who’d like to come along.

Logistics:
Expect a MEAN hammer time for the full 1.5 hours, ramping up the average lap pace from 19 -> 23mph over the first two laps, and holding the top-end as we traverse the park, until the last man stands. We’re all looking for optimal training effect, so there is no pressure to pull on the front if you are already at your max sustainable pace in the draft. So be ready to rotate or stay on for as long as you can, refining your drafting skills(!), ekeing out every last bit of energy, until you get spit out the back and have to wait for the train to come back around!

(!) WE WILL BE MOVING FAST; So for the safety and efficiency of our paceline we’d like to make a few points:
SAFETY
1) Hands on handlebars at all times, if you need to do anything aside from drinking water, leave the paceline, and even then, be careful.
2) Keep lateral movements as gradual as possible.
b) When on the front, look as far ahead as possible to spot potential obstacles as early to allow the field to move as described.
3) Use hand signals, and do your best to mirror it back for other riders.
4) Protect your front wheel.
EFFICIENCY
1) Either you are in rotation, or out.
a)If you are IN and wish to pull, even for 10 seconds, you will be constantly funneling through the paceline.
b)If you are OUT and are already holding on for dear life, you will be on the back, allowing the rotation to allow in front of you. This means opening a gap for the rider who just finished pulling to funnel back in in front of you.
2) Please leave gaps as tight as you can comfortably allow
